Creating word documents from a template is a common action in Automation project.

In this video, I demonstrated the detailed steps to create a Microsoft Word document from a template with a repeating section directly in Power Automate Desktop. I used power fx function as a substitute for “𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁” action to avoid adding loop and improve the efficiency of the flow.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼:

▶️ Create word document with a repeating section or table directly in PAD

▶️ Extract data from data grid in legacy window application

▶️ Use power fx to transform data table to a list of custom objects without using loop

▶️ Leverage SharePoint cloud connector in desktop flow for integrating with libraries or lists
